get weaved up, GET WEAVED UP. not weaved up nemore tho....
just had 2 get this off of my chest...
1) i don't understand why slavery was so public, jim crow was so public, and when we try to talk about race, everybody shuts the fuck up. you lynched my great-grandaddy in front of hundreds of people and made postcards about it....but we can't talk about race in the post-Obama era? sounds like bullshit to me.
2) i don't understand why people of the lighter persuasion always try to touch my hair. touch your own damn hair. you don't have my hair so why are u so fascinated with it? you don't see me trying to put my hands in little Kelly or Susie's hair. chill out.
3) i dont understand why when people of the lighter persuasion *people that fit the stereotype of the lighter persuasion* talk about "hood" shit like african-american gang life they try to use "hood" vernacular...you sound like blackface. the WHOLE blackface. chill out. you can give in to ignorance. we all are.
4) i don't understand why the nucleus of the black family is so torn apart. oh, i know why. its because of white supremacy and the emasculation of the black man (and, lets not forget, the desexualizing of the black woman)through the media that financially supported him. FOR EXAMPLE, mammies and coons. the mammie: strong, big, "unladylike", bred to be the head of the household. coon: timid, stuttering, shy, pushover, weak, always answering to the woman. now, i am a woman, and i'm not saying that the woman shouldn't be strong, but don't paint pictures like the woman can't get any cause she might as well have a penis and the man can't get any cause he doesn't know where to put it. its also because of slavery and the willie lynch letter....making an example out of the biggest black man so that the other slaves will follow suit....and these are the examples of blacks that are implicitly driven into the subconscious of the lighter persuasion...and you wonder why i try so hard to combat those theories.
5) i don't understand why people tell me that it's wrong to be pro-Black. i'm not anti-White or anti-diversity, i just love my people. everyone has a right to love their people. even white people. ppl get mad when white people say that they wouldnt date a black person, knowing damn well that they wouldn't date a white person...so whats the difference? we're all human. you like what you like. if you like all people...that's what's up. if you like white girls, that's whats up (as long as your white too, cause if you're black, we will disown you. sorry. that's just how black life goes. shoulda caught on when you were born.) white woman datin a black man? the entire black female population will hate you, but hey, that's what bein a ride or die bitch is all about. as for me, imma take that dark chocolate honey with a degree and a 401K....society tells us that they're too hard to find....i don't agree. they're everywhere at my school....but finding one where its not painfully difficult to 1)look at 2) kiss 3) potentially have sex with is my problem.
...i really need to review for this test. grrrrrr.
